WHAT DOES GOD REQUIRE OF HIS PEOPLE? – Micah 6:8

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Can one walk with God? The Bible teaches we can! Micah was one of many who did. He was a prophet to the people of Judah during a time of great wickedness and social injustice. There were false prophets, cruel leaders, violence and corruption. The priests, who were supposed to represent God in the temple and teach people the Word, were greedy and evil. The poor and widows were being taken advantage of and judges took bribes. Businessmen were dishonest in their business dealings and cheated people. It was very similar to our world today. To bring hope, Micah promises a Divine Deliverer, the Messiah, who would rescue the godly from oppression and establish righteousness in the land.
